The hospital site is desperately in need of nurses, in significant need for surgeons - particularly ortho trauma, but also plastics, and physical therapists & primary care doctors like internists are needed to take care of the non-surgical issues. If you are interested in volunteering, please download and fill out this application with Operation Smile.
In terms of items, the current team will need adult crutches and a C arm. Anyone with supplies, like crutches and such, should please contact Operation Smile at 1-888-OPSMILE (888-677-6453) OR 1-757-321-SMILE (757-321-7645).

Follow Penn State Hershey Medical Center doctors and nurses in their joint effort with Operation Smile to provide surgical care to victims of the Haiti earthquake. The team is situated in Fond Parisien at the Love a Child orphanage, about 45 minutes outside of Port-au-Prince.
