Ami says they had a wonderful Haitian dinner tonight. Fried plantains, a cabbage dish, etc...she said they ate more tonight than they have in a long time...(or at least she did)!! A few local women were there and prepared the meal for them. She said everyone was very grateful for that as they enjoyed the delicious meal and being able to sample the "local cuisine". She's hoping they are going to stay for a bit so they can enjoy a "true" Haitian breakfast also. She felt as though it gave the team a boost and change from their daily routine. They had another busy day today with a lot going on and a lot of procedures. She says she has realized that the need will far surpass their time and stay there and that there are so many injured that this will definitely be a place that will need help for a long, long time to come. Everyone is tired but very motivated as they see people coming in by the busload everyday who desperately need their help and services. The need for supplies and help is great and they are praying for others to come in and pick up where they will leave off. She sends her thanks and love to everyone for their support and comfort during this time as they are all trying to process the magnitude of what has happened and what needs to be done to save as many victims of this disaster as possible.
