Another call from Jay:
The team brought in one month's worth of canned foods from the DR-- but there is no way to cook it right now. Franks and beans, and such. Also no formal place to sleep yet, but they will sleep in sleeping bags under an overhang tonight. The location is 45 minutes from Port-au-Prince and only 5-6 hour's drive from Santo Domingo, DR from where they can be resupplied. No showers yet either.
The team is hopeful that this site can be developed over the next 10 days so that future teams can come work here. They will need to make living quarters, showers, kitchen, etc.
Jay's phone is going to run out of batteries-- so I'd appreciate any news from anyone else that comes through.
